Escavator Mounted Brush Shredder

The Brush Hound Escavator Mounted Brush Shredder safely cuts and mulches small trees, grass, and brush. The Brush Hound Flail Blade Cutting Head turns any excavator or backhoe into a long reach boom mower. Three widths are available, 30 inch, 40 inch and 50 inch working width cutter heads. The large 2 pound reversible, spiral mounted blades will cut and mulch trees and limbs up to 4 inches in diameter on the model 30 EX and 40EX, 6 inches in diameter on the model 40Extreme, and up to 8 inches in diameter on the model 50EX.

  • Three widths are available - the 30 series model has a working with of 30 inches (overall cutting head width of 40 inches), 40 series models have a working width of 40 inches (overall width of 50 inches, 58 inches on the 40 Extreme), and the 50EX model has a working width of 50 inches and a working width of 63 inches.

  • Model CD-2500: 2 lb. replacement knife for all models above - Price is $11.66 each plus UPS shipping**


  • The standard EX models have a 2 piece knife (a left and right piece). These two pieces make up one CD-2500 knife.


  • The HD models use a center straight blade between these two pieces (the CD2500 knife). To replace the complete knife on the HD models, you will order the number of CD2500s you need, along with the straight blades part number CD-2500C.


  • Part number CD-2500C is $11.73 each plus shipping** for the straight blade.


  • The HD models have the "Triple Hammer Knives" which means that at each point (each flail knife) you have a CD-2500C in the center of the two pieces of the CD-2500.


  • You can change over and use only a CD-2500 knife if you change all knives to this configuration (otherwise rotor will be unbalanced and you will cause excessive wear on the drum and bearings). YOU SHOULD NOT HOWEVER USE THE TRIPLE HAMMER KNIVES (CD-2500 + CD-2500C) ON THE STANDARD EX MODELS.
