RDB-050 Ratchet Style Draw Bender

The Model RDB-050 Ratchet Style Draw Bender is a high quality bender for your shop, at a very reasonable price. The RDB-050 bender was designed with fabricators in mind that build racing chasis for stock cars, and need a bender to get started on before they move up to a high production automatic model. This bender is extremely powerful and can bend up to 2 1/2 inch OD mild steel tube with a wall thickness of .120, and 2 inch OD chromoly with a wall thickness of .120 inch. This bender has three pull speeds and can be set so each full pull on the handle moves the bender either 1, 2, or 3 teeth on the ratchet plate. Model RDB-050 Ratchet Style Draw Bender uses the standard tooling shown at the bottom of this page (die sets required for each size of tubing). The die sets are the same as used on the other Baileigh draw benders, so your tooling can be used if you ever move up to an automatic model.

Features And Specifications Model RDB-050 Manual Style Ratchet Bender

Unique design, extemely powerful, allows you to bend up to 2.5 inch OD mild steel tube with a wall thickness of .120 inches, or 2 inch OD Chromoly Tubing with a wall thickness of .120 inches.

Uses the die sets listed at the bottom of this page. Individual die sets are available as well as multi-die packages.

Ratchet style bender has degree scale on frame so you know exactly how far you are bending. Bender also has three speeds to allow to ratchet 1, 2, or 3 teeth per pull (4, 8, or 12 degrees per pull). Speed 1 for heavy materials, speed 2 for intermediate materials, and speed three for lighter gauge materials.

The operator can continue to bend in one shot without stopping up through 200 degrees without re-pinning.

Has an anti-spring back mechanism that holds each bend in place as the operator ratchets forward, and the mechanism preventsany dangerous amount of springback when removing the material from the machine.

The bender is very well constructed and made in the U.S.A. All pivot points on the bender utilize aluminum bronze bushings and thrustwashers to prevent metal on metal contact,

This machine has been specifically designed for small racing chasis builders, off road truck builders including rock crawlers and monster trucks, and dragsters, circle track racers, and ATV accessories and many others.

Mild steel tube capacity is 2.5 inches OD and .120 wall thickness, and 2.0 inches OD and .120 wall thickness for chromoly tubing

Minimum tubing OD is 1/4 inch

Maximum bend time to 180 degrees is 1 minute

Bender includes degree scale

Can accept dies with a maximum CLR (centerline radius) of 7 inches, and a minimum CLR of 3 inches (see available die sets below)

Completely manual bender (no power required)

Bender mounts to floor or platform to hold it in place

Working height approximately 42 inches
