The Power Rakes

The York Power Rakes are pto or hydraulic powered soil pulverizers/conditioners that give you one of the easiest, fastest, and most efficient methods of removing vegetation, and breaking up top soil and clods into a smooth surface ready for overseeding. These units are great for making a smooth seed bed and removing rocks; all units have an adjustable urethane barrier that regulates how much material you process and how fine the output is; surface debris such as rocks that are too large to pass between the barrier and the roller will be dragged forward and held in front of the roller between the end boots on the machine where they can be dragged off for disposal.

Pto powered models are available in a 5 ft. width for compact tractors and 6 ft., 7 ft., and 8 ft. wide models for larger landscape tractors. The hydraulic powered model for mounting on skid steer loaders is available in widths of 6 ft., 7 ft. and 8 ft. All models are available in either manual or hydraulic angle versions. These machines produce one the best prepared seed beds possible, and since they are powered by pto or hydraulics, they are the easiest to use and most efficient machines available for high production work.

  • Spiked powered roller is pto driven (540 rpm ptos), durable rake teeth on roller are pointed carbide studs brazed to the stud base for superior connection


  • Rugged driveline - gear box is rated for 45 hp, 5 ft. wide model is designed for compact tractors, slip clutch on pto requires no break in or maintenance


  • Quick hitch compatible three point hitch frame uses a triangular design to fortify the pivot point for a stronger connection


  • Includes storage stand for easier connection to the tractor


  • Lifting ring makes moving the unit safer and easier when it is not on the tractor


  • Simple design makes unit reliable and easy to maintain


  • Quality construction uses triple sealed, permanently greased ball bearings


  • Drive chain is 50 roller chain in an oil bath housing, has self-adjusting chain tensioner


  • Angling is 15 degrees left or right, angling is either manual or hydraulic depending upon model


  • The Power Rake uses and adjustable urethane barrier to regulate how much material you process and how fine it is


  • The end boots on the side of the roller frame increase the carrying capacity of the unit, allowing you to process more material, these end boots have hard faced leading edges for increased wear


  • Caster wheels us urethane filled, flat free turf tires that are 16 x 6.5-8 in size


  • Units have a 1 year limited warranty with the first 90 days covered 100 percent

    Six, Seven, And 8 Ft. PTO Models

  • Larger models have same quality features as 5 ft. model, gear box is rated at 45 hp, units use a slip clutch for driveline and gear box protection


  • These models use even heavier double 60 roller chain in an oil bath housing with self-adjusting chain tensioner


  • Caster wheels have highway style hubs and tapered roller bearings, tires are 16 x 6.5-8, 6 ply load range C (rated at 793 lbs. each), use metal valve stems to prevent valve stem damage and to reduce down time due to flat tires


  • Warranty is one year with the first 90 days covered 100 percent

  • Same as 6, 7, and 8 ft. models above accept the skid steer loader models mount on the loader arms of your skid steer, and the units are hydraulic drive


  • Rake requires 20 gpm at 3000 psi continuous pressure to operate
